Our client is a major mechanical engineering led manufacturer based in Havant who currently require a Mechanical Design Engineer.

Main role:-

Assist in the design, specification and proposal generation of new and existing products for the company's portfolio. To technically support the products and services supplied throughout the operational life of the equipment. Communicate proposals, solutions investigations and conclusions, as required, using MS Office applications, 2D/3D cad package and in-house support tools and systems

You will require the following skills and experience:-

HND / HNC (or equivalent) within a related engineering/design or mechanical discipline Sufficient design experience within a mechanical engineering or marine Experience of producing technical specifications Experience of using AutoCAD 2D and knowledge of 3D Design Demonstrable experience of problem investigation and resolution Computer literate MS office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) Working knowledge of current draught standards Possess initiative and problem solving ability Ability to take ownership of tasks and solutions Self motivated and able to set goals
