We are currently working with a fantastic employer in the Portsmouth area who are looking to recruit for a Database administrator to join the team.

The successful person will be part of the team responsible for the up-keep and development of specific I.T. related projects.

Your main responsibilities will be building and maintaining MySQL Databases.

Essential Skills/Experience:

Candidate who has MySQL administration experience

Manage requests for changes to, or creation of MI records, through a formal process of validation and approval.

Able to plan, build, and maintain MySQL databases.

Able to perform database tuning, and fault diagnostics.

Able work with our application development team to deliver robust database designs, and reports on an ad-hoc basis as required by our users.

Must be a process data file and manage interfacing with other non MySQL databases.

Able to work as a part of a team

Additional Skills (desired but not essential):

Continuous Integration

Linux server administration

Experience with source control preferable but not essential
