Hours: Full time 35h/week. Part-time minimum 12-14h/week.

Typical working hours: 11.30am - 8.00pm Mon - Thurs; 10.00am - 6.30pm Friday & Saturday.

Employment dates: w/c 5 May - 28 June 2014 with possibility of further work until 4 September 2014.

We are looking for enthusiastic and personable individuals to join our existing team of skilled travel advisors promoting sustainable travel in Portsmouth.

Our new My Journey Travel Advisors (TAs) will visit residents on their doorsteps in May and June in the Eastney area of Portsmouth.

TAs will offer tailored advice and information to help residents plan and make some of their local journeys by bus, train, walking, cycling or car sharing.

A friendly personality, the ability to converse with a diverse audience and the ability to work outdoors and as part of a team is essential.

Also very important are good listening skills, a flexible approach and strong organisational abilities.

Knowledge of the local area and an interest in encouraging others to travel by healthy and environmentally friendly means is desirable.

The contract includes paid training and is scheduled to start w/c 6 May 2014 until 28 June 2014 and includes some weekend working.

There will also be opportunities for further work until 4 September 2014 for the right candidates.
