An opportunity has arisen for an Human Resources Manager within a charity based in Portsmouth.
The Roberts Centre enjoys an enviable reputation for its work with families and children and has achieved national recognition for its high quality services.
The HR Manager will be an integral part of the senior management team and will line manage the HR Administrator and the Service User Involvement Worker.
You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive Human Resources service, including all aspects of recruitment, selection and employee relations.
This role is both varied and demanding, taking on elements of operational and strategic HR Management.
You will be providing advice and guidance to Managers and staff across the services, as well as managing the development and delivery of a Volunteer service.
Recruitment and Selection
You will undertake all administration duties throughout the recruitment process including pre-employment checks and contracts of employment, as well as providing expert advice and guidance to Managers throughout the recruitment process.
Employee Relations
You will be assisting managers in all employee relations matters including probationary period reviews, employee welfare issues, ill health and absence issues, performance and disciplinary issues and performance development reviews and restructuring.
Training and Development
You will be developing and delivering the annual training and development plan, including managing staff training programmes. In addition, you will also manage the Working Group for staff involvement in the Investors in People accreditation for the organisation.
You will: Be fully CIPD qualified Have demonstrable experience in working in a busy HR environment, preferably in a stand-alone role Have a working knowledge of all aspects of Employment Law and Employee Relations

Successful applicant will be required to provide an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Disclosure (DBS) disclosure. Disclosure expense will be met by The Roberts Centre.
