The Institute of Cosmology & Gravitation (ICG) intends to appoint two senior research associates in cosmology and astrophysics.
The research associates will work in cosmology, looking to exploit current and future galaxy surveys. The researchers will be expected to join and contribute to the team working on large-scale structure at the ICG.
A PhD degree and relevant research experience are required. The posts are for three years each, with an anticipated start date of 1 October 2015, or earlier if necessary.
The ICG consists of 12 academic staff, 12 postdoctoral researchers and 20 PhD students, and is a member of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS-IV) and the Dark Energy Survey. The University of Portsmouth is a member of the South-East Physics Network (SEPnet)2 and hosts the 2500-core supercomputer SCIAMA.
