We are currently recruiting for a Italian speaking Administrator to join a small and growing manufacturing company in Portsmouth. This is a contract position to cover maternity leave for up to 1 year. The position is a part time position with hours from 9am-3pm Monday- Friday. You will provide support to an existing team to provide administrative support to the manufacturing teams.

 

Applicants are invited to apply through the Commercial Division of FPR Group and interviews will be carried out shortly.

 

You will require the following skills and experience:-

 

  • Confident level of spoken Italian
  • Excellent telephone communication skills
  • Experience working within an Administration role for a manufacturing company
  • Some accounts or purchasing experience is desirable
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Good time management skills
  • Self-motivated and driven
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
  • Team Player

 

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:-

 

  • Managing suppliers.
  • Updating in-house database regarding material movements.
  • Liaising as necessary with production to ensure continuity of supply and raising of purchase orders.
  • Preparing monthly reports, producing accounts statements in line with company policy.
  • Maintaining spread sheets and databases to ensure purchasing-related data is accurate.
  • Monitoring the performance of contracted services to ensure services are effective.
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date supplier details.
  • Resolving customer enquiries, providing support to the Office Manager, liaising with colleagues and the parent company in Italy (written and oral communication in Italian and English).
  • Managing daily allocation of BACs and cheque payments, overseeing and signing off invoices, preparing cheques for banking.
  • Registering and handling Petty Cash payments, checking bank statements.
  • Monitoring changes or developments within the industry.
  • Safeguarding the company's interests, strictly following office and company policies and procedures.
