An opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Nursery Manager within a charity based in Portsmouth.

The Roberts Centre enjoys an enviable reputation for its work with families and children and has achieved national recognition for its high quality services in the areas of Homelessness, Parenting and Childcare.

You will provide professional leadership and management of the nursery and lead a lively and stimulating environment for our children and maintain the high standards of care and education we provide.

This involves maintaining the safety, security, physical, emotional, educational and cultural welfare of the children in the Nursery.



Under the delegation of the Nursery Manager, you will manage the operation of the Nursery ensuring the Nursery operates within statutory, legislative guidelines from Ofsted and good working knowledge within EYFS.

You will lead and supervise the work of staff, setting standards and ensuring that these are met. You will work directly with individuals and families within the Centre.

Previous childcare experience is essential and you will be qualified to NNEB/NVQ Level 4 in Early Years Care and Education or equivalent and have at least two years experience of working in an early years setting.

This will be supported by your knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety and Equal opportunities.

Disclosure expense will be met by the Roberts Centre.
