Portsmouth City Council currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Deputy Payroll & Pensions Manager to join our busy payroll team. Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager you will be responsible for the management and supervision of the payroll and pension's team as well as managing and running multiple payrolls. This will include reconciliations, RTI, auto enrolment and delivery of output to a high specification. You will handle enquires from both internal and external clients and provide detailed guidance on the rules covering contractual payroll entitlements, public sector pension schemes and auto enrolment. In addition you will be responsible for managing the testing and implementation of new payroll projects.

To be considered for this role you will be CIPP qualified and have experience of managing a team. In addition, you will have the technical expertise required to provide advice on all aspects of payroll, pensions and travel/benefits legislation.
