Hours: 16 hours a week, 8am to 11 am Monday to Thursday, 8 am to 12 noon on Friday. Initial 1 year fixed-term contract.
Location: The Salvation Army, Haven Community Centre, Portsmouth

We are looking for someone to help support the work of the Haven by undertaking general caretaking duties to ensure the effective running of our busy community centre which is a 3 storey building spread over 2 sites.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare rooms for a variety of hall users, including arranging tables, chairs and other equipment. Conducting health and safety checks such as lighting, fire safety and legionella checks and maintaining relevant records. Liaising and supervising external contractors or suppliers. Acting as a key holder. Undertaking deliveries or collections in the centre's van.
The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate: Excellent customer service skills. Flexibility and reliability in order to meet the needs of the centre. Accurate record keeping. Knowledge of health and safety legislation. Able to undertake heavy lifting on a regular basis. A full, clean driving licence is required.
