Accountancy Assistant - fixed term contract / secondment opportunity for 6 months Ref no: 3173

Are you a qualified Accounting Technician or CCAB equivalent? Can you provide a first class service whilst organising your workload to enable you to meeting deadlines?

In this role you will provide support to the Senior Accountant and Accounting Technician enabling them to deliver high quality financial management, professional advice and accountancy services to the Strategic Directors, Assistant Directors, Members and other key stakeholders of the Council. You will assist in providing analysis and support for a wide range of ad hoc tasks, dealing with a range of financial issues and applying financial regulations and codes of practice. You will be involved in budget monitoring and forecasting, preparation of the final accounts and statutory financial statements and providing other financial analysis as requested. In addition, you will play an important part in supporting the identifying cost and efficiency savings whilst assisting other team members in driving the budget process for the Directorate.
