The School wishes to appoint a Lecturer to undertake teaching and research in the area of intercultural communication, and communication theory and practice including social semiotics and multimodality. Experience in other areas of communication, including corporate communication and crisis communication, would also be an advantage.
The appointee will contribute to teaching units in communication at undergraduate and at postgraduate level. S/he will also contribute to the teaching of academic skills development, research management and dissertation supervision.
The successful candidate will have completed a relevant PhD, or be very close to completion and will be an active researcher with evidence of publications/potential to publish. Alternatively, s/he will have knowledge services expertise or the potential to develop in this area.
In addition, we are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills who is student-centred and who will be a full and collegial member of our teaching team.
