Pipet Pre-school is part of the Navel Under Fives. Based in Eastney, we are currently looking to recruit a Deputy Manager to work as part of our small team.

We are looking for someone with the following:

Qualifications: NVQ 3 or Equivalent in Childcare First Aid (although training can be arranged) Safeguarding

Skills: Team person, able to work in a small team Work with Parents / Carers Creative Use own initiative Enjoys Challenges

What is the role? Job description: 1. To keep NUFC informed of the progress of the group and staff and to make NUFC aware of any changes in staff well-being that may affect he group and those within it. 2. To be responsible for the register and the fees identified in them. Ensure correct money is handed to NUFC or DNFC. 3. To be responsible for the completion of head count forms and the total amounts being reported to NUFC. 4. Ensuring the security of the building and reporting defects to NUFC or DNUFC. 5. Arranging the staff hours of work to satisfy both staff and the requirements of maintaining ratios, ensuring that overstaffing does not occur. Report any staff shortages to NUFC. 6. Be available to carry out any other duty that may be reasonably required for the good of the Naval Under Fives. 7. The authority to collect in cash or cheque, any payment from parents, guardians or childminders. 8. To liase with the Local Education Authority in matters concerning the funded children in the group. 9. To discuss with Ofsted any matters concerning the inspection or registration of the setting.

Type of contract: Term Time Only Hours of work: The Setting is opened Mon to Fri 9.15 - 15.15, with the minimum hours of 12 hrs up to the maximum of 30 hrs per week, hours and days to be negotiated.
