The Haven Furniture Project operates from a large city centre shop and warehouse. We are looking for someone to help support the work of The Salvation Army by driving the Furniture Project van. The post holder will carry out collections and deliveries of furniture in accordance with the schedule and assist with general day to day tasks within the Furniture Shop.

Key Responsibilities: • Lifting heavy, large items of furniture on a daily basis, ensuring stock items are manoeuvred and positioned in a safe manner placing very high importance on health and safety. • Adhere to safe mission policies at all times to ensure safety of all staff, volunteers, customers and centre users. • Coordinate and assist with the loading and unloading of the van. • Assist customers with the loading and unloading of goods from other vehicles. • Lift and move stock items around the shop, store rooms and warehouse as requested. • Provide a high level of customer service to all customers both on the premises and during off-site collections and deliveries.
