08 June 2016

Interview date:  22 June 2016

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice for a 10 month period to join our successful, enthusiastic and friendly team. You will be expected to interact effectively with academic and support staff and with students in your area of expertise and to be able to deliver teaching, scholarship and research activities related to pharmacy practice. This will be predominantly at the School of Pharmacy & Biomedical Sciences but will also involve occasional sessions in a practice setting close to the School via our Healthy Living Pharmacy Live initiative. Previous experience in a pharmacy educational or training role is desirable.

You will be based in the Pharmacy Practice Division of the School which has an establishment of one Professor, seven Senior Lecturers and six Teacher-Practitioners. Applications will be particularly welcomed from individuals who demonstrate a proactive and collegial approach not only to their own activities but also to those of colleagues.

It is anticipated that the 10 month appointment will be from early September 2016 to July 2017 (or earlier return of post holder).

The University of Portsmouth embraces diversity and we positively encourage applicants from all sections of the community, in particular from under-represented groups.

For informal discussion, please contact Prof. Jane Portlock, Head of Pharmacy Practice

Remuneration will be between £37,768 - £46,414 per annum (£22,660 - £27,848 per annum pro-rata). Occasional evening and weekend working is expected.
