The University of Portsmouth Graduate School is seeking to appoint a maternity leave replacement for our existing Researcher Development Coordinator from 11th July 2016 to 31st July 2017.
The holder of this role organises and provides leadership for the Graduate School Development Programme and related aspects of postgraduate research development including research student induction programmes. The post holder is expected to champion and further develop our structured research training programme throughout the university. This is an exciting post with the opportunity to contribute to our nationally excellent development programme.
You will join the dedicated team of staff based in the Graduate School, where you will be the supervisor of two members of our support staff. The successful post holder will be experienced in teaching research methods, will hold a doctorate and have experience of being a successful researcher and research supervisor. The role will require the post holder to communicate with and engage both students and staff across the university and will help develop the academic leadership, research and teaching excellence of the successful candidate. The post is at SL (grade 8) level and is 0.8FTE.
