The Service

Within revenues and benefits we deal with over 88,000 dwellings and 6,000 businesses, and support customers through the delivery of housing benefit and council tax support. And by finding ways to increase the amount of income we generate, we help the council to continue to provide the services our customers rely on..

What is the role?

Within this role you will be reporting to the Policy & Process Manager as well as working with other staff within Revenues and Benefits and our City Helpdesk. You will learn how to assist officers to obtain information from customers, both in writing and in person. You will input data using our IT systems. You will also be recording information and communicating results.

Who is the person?

We are looking for someone who is:

1. Positive, motivated, thorough, responsible, committed and understands the importance of confidentiality and discretion.

In addition you need:

2. Good IT skills and be familiar with MS office including Word, Excel & Outlook 3. Good numerical skills. 4. Good written and verbal communication skills as many of our enquiries are through written communication needing written responses and over the telephone. 5. To be a team player, able to fit into the current team and willing to help out as needed. 6. To be methodical with a good attention to detail which will be necessary for the work you will be required to assist with.

Closing date: 9 September 2016 Assessment will take place on the 21 September and interviews will take place on the 22 September 2016.
