DEAN OF SCIENCE
The Faculty of Science comprises departments and schools covering Geography, Sport and Exercise Science, Psychology, Biological Sciences, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Health Sciences and Social Work, Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences, as well as our Dental Academy.
The Faculty hosts around 4,600 students and is responsible for over 50 per cent of the University’s research activity. The high quality programmes offered are underpinned by research and innovation as well as advanced professional practice. Recent developments include nursing and optometry provision within new dedicated facilities.
As an experienced leader in a relevant academic discipline, you will demonstrate strategic thinking and a commitment to an exceptional student experience underpinned by high impact research and innovation.
As a member of the University Executive Board, reporting to the Vice-Chancellor, you will have a good understanding of the higher education sector, with a track record of success in a senior role. An ability to develop and articulate a clear and inspiring vision for the Faculty which supports the University Strategy will be essential.
