Working Hours: 35 hours a week (minimum).

Job Summary: Assist in the day to day delivery of the Good Neighbours Befriending and Shopping Service, helping to ensure that the level of service is in accordance with the local authority contract and Salvation Army standards of service.

We are looking for someone with experience of working with vulnerable service users and an awareness of the importance of safeguarding, along with previous experience of an administration based role. Key Responsibilities: • Undertake all aspects of administering the service to the highest standards of good practise. • Undertake home assessment and review visits to both service users and volunteer befrienders often involving lone-working. Matching service users with volunteer befrienders. • Assist with the promotion, procurement, training, managing and support of volunteer befrienders in all aspects of their role. • Provide and promote actions for the best welfare of the Good Neighbours Befriending and Shopping Service Users, ensuring that they are properly monitored, supported and protected. • Assist with providing effective promotion and marketing of the service. • Liaise regularly with referring organisations including Adult Social Care, NHS, other health/well-being related organisations • Ensure that the safeguarding of all individuals linked to the service is effective.
