The University has ambitious plans to grow its international student numbers both on and off campus in line with the University’s Strategy 2015-2020. Underpinning this will be a new Global Engagement Strategy. It now seeks to appoint an ambitious, motivated and innovative International Director to lead a key strategic service and to help shape and deliver its global engagement strategy.
This is an exciting, crucial role and is a great opportunity for a proactive and customer focused professional to play a key role in international student recruitment and marketing, developing collaborative academic and research partnerships and enhance the University’s international reputation and profile. Working in conjunction with the Pro Vice-Chancellor – Global Engagement, you will facilitate the delivery of an integrated service focusing on generation and conversion of applications and the expansion of our transnational education provision in accordance with our corporate plan.
With a higher degree or relevant professional qualification at post-graduate level, you will have an excellent understanding of international recruitment markets, and the experience of successfully establishing and managing international recruitment and collaborative partnerships in higher education. You will be a self-starter with lots of enthusiasm, passion, innovation and creativity along with an understanding of the different technologies used for marketing including digital and social media. As an experienced leader you will be adept at managing and developing your teams and promoting a culture of high performance, proactivity and innovation, as well as encouraging and promoting collaborative working in support of colleagues across the University.
