The role:-

You could be helping the client on projects for the nuclear and energy industry assisting with the 2D and 3D designs, preparing models and drawings on existing and new product introductions.

Skills & Experience:-

As an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer you will of course have experience of using design software and for this role your experience of Catia V5 will be required. In your skills set will be experience of Hydraulic systems, Machined components, Welded structures and castings. If you have experience of Pressure Vessels this will give you a distinct advantage for this role.

Solid knowledge and experience of Mechanical Design principles will be at the core of your design experience and this position will also use your background knowledge of rapid prototyping, mechanical assemblies, moulding, forming and machined parts.

Ideally you will have previously used Product Data Management systems (PDM's) ideally Smarteam and experience with SAP is desirable but not a deal breaker.

Due the varied nature of the clients product base experience with both nuclear standards BS8888 and automotive 16949 is preferred.

The package:-

This contract position is expected to last a minimum of 3 months but due to the volume of work and current business levels this could be extended further. With an hourly rate of £30-£32ph Ltd (doe) working Monday to Friday in this modern facility located just outside Portsmouth.
