We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Engineer to introduce new products, influence designs, ensure manufacturing processes are safe and offer expertise from design to production.

You will be working for a prestigious manufacturing company based in Havant, who supply membrane switches, suite control units and touch screens to the defence, medical, food production and Aerospace industries. With a starting salary of up to £32,000 you will be working 37.5 hours a week over 4.5 days. Typically, you will work 07:30-16:30 Mon-Thurs with a half day on Friday. They can offer 22 days holiday, which will increase to 25 after 3 years. There is free parking and an onsite canteen as well as a generous pension scheme.

You will be responsible for the modification of designs, creating and modifying BOM's, liaison with Design and Manufacturing departments to review and feedback solutions to resolve any non-conformances at the design stage. You will be overseeing documentation relating to Design, Manufacturing and Testing and will inform the NPI Supervisor of Design Progress and any issues that arise.

You will be highly personable with the ability to liaise confidently with various departments within the company. You will ideally come from an Electro-Mechanical background, possessing knowledge of both Mechanical and Electrical components. You will be driven and able to work under high pressure within a manufacturing environment and will be able to offer expertise to ensure a smooth transition from Design to Production. You will be able to take your own initiative and sometimes rely on limited information. You must be CAD literate (SolidWorks, AutoCAD or ProgeCAD) and have a high level of computer competency.
