We are currently looking to recruit a Trainee Management Accountant to join our Management Accounting team within the Finance Department. The post holder will establish effective working relationships with managers by assisting and supporting the development and provision of financial management information and providing advice and guidance to assigned Professional Services Departments.  As part of a small team, you will have a key role in the production and consolidation of financial information for University Senior Managers and Governors. Working closely and in conjunction with the Head of Management Accounts and Procurement the successful candidate will provide advice and support to assigned Heads of Departments in various Professional Service areas, including the production of financial information, and as required financial information for the annual budget and five year forecast.   Applicants for this post will ideally hold a relevant Degree or AAT Qualification and must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of the accurate and timely processing of financial data. A sound demonstrable understanding and experience of the finance function is essential, as are effective communication and influencing skills, which enable you to explain financial information to non-financial staff.  You will have the drive and ambition to progress your career and studies within a Finance environment and support will be provided to enable your development.
