Skills-

With at least 2-3 years' experience in a production planning job under your belt and knowledge of ERP MRP systems and ideally would be MFG Pro for an Engineering company.

Of course you will have excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and it would be beneficial if you had experience of capacity planning but not essential.

With your background in engineering or manufacturing and experience of working in a lean manufacturing environment along with your knowledge of six sigma, Kanban and 8D methodologies would make you an ideal candidate for this job.

The Role-

You could be assisting with the production scheduling and demand forecasting and helping to ensure that sufficient materials are ordered and in stock for the manufacturing floor to complete clients on time and to target. Ideally you will have experience of machine loading/scheduling and Inventory Management to track internal stock levels and maintain sufficient required materials.

Liaising with clients and suppliers will be a daily part of your role and you could also be involved in the management and control of engineering development projects including NPI's and how it will be implemented on the production floor.
