Are you an experienced programmer who is seeking a Lead role? This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong C++ and Android Development, PM, Systems Architect and Testing skills to lead and develop existing & new ventures for this established company.

The Programme Manager role is designed for someone who is bright, personable, hard-working and ambitious. They will be an experienced developer who has always been focused on business value, who reads around their subject and is fascinated about how technology is used for business success.

As the Programme Manager you will lead a team of developers and testers and introduce Agile methodology as well as automated testing into the group. This is a hands-on role that will involve solving technology problems at all levels.

Technology Skills

• Proficiency and experience in C++ and Android Suite
• Exposure to agile practices, automated unit testing, frameworks and design patterns.
• Broad knowledge and understanding of all aspects of computing, networking and security. A deep interest in technology and industry trends.
• Degree in a science or engineering discipline, and experience as a developer.
• Passionate about growing in the role, mentoring others and being a leader.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis, design and development of customer-facing and partner-facing components of new and existing applications.
• Lead the Developers in the architecture of the software and systems.
• Perform the role of a lead developer where needed: assign work based on company priorities, manage the development process, set the standards and ensure quality. Take responsibility for the code-base.
• Help build a supportive and productive working environment; provide guidance and mentoring to team members.
• Liaise with internal customers and client technical contacts.
• Take responsibility for the production environment: work with suppliers to ensure that key systems are available 24 hours a day, and that business continuity is assured in the event of disruptions.
• Take responsibility for ensuring the IT needs for the company are met with appropriate technology solutions and support.
• Contribute to diverse projects and initiatives across the company.
