An opportunity has arisen to join the Procurement team within the University’s Finance department. 

The successful candidate will to take responsibility for various spend categories (Category Management) across the University.  This would include one off and re-occurring spend.  They would engage with stakeholders across the University and carry out tender exercises that would meet financial, EU and other regulations.

The successful applicant will need to be abreast of the latest EU Regulations and Public Procurement Contract Regulations. They will need to be adept in understanding contract structure and how to negotiate terms and conditions to protect the University’s best interests.   

The candidate will have previous experience of working in a Category Management environment, producing and implementing Category Roadmaps.  Experience in the fields of IT, Estates and Professional services would be desirable.
