People Centre Resource Adviser - temporary opportunity for up to one year to cover secondment.

The Post:

• Reports directly to the HR Operations Manager • Is the main point of contact for allocated customers to resolve HR queries and ensure all pay related changes are input into the Oracle Payroll System within prescribed deadlines with a high degree of accuracy. • Issues Statements of Particulars and variation letters to reflect the changes to terms and conditions of service input into the payroll system for all PCC staff. • Provide effective Recruitment support to support business needs

Within the role you will:

• Provide Recruitment support undertake right to work requests, references and DBS checks • Advise on, and resolve, routine HR enquiries ( salary and contracts), deal with telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries • Handle correspondence, including confidential information and reference requests

Who is the person?

You will:

1. Have a knowledge and understanding of:

a. EBS Business suite, Oracle Payroll System with the ability to input information and create records accurately onto the system with minimal supervision. b. Contracts of employment for Teachers; Local Government and Soulbury Terms and Conditions. c. Employment law in particular areas such as right to work in the UK, immigration and DBS. d. PCC/Schools policies that are related to the HR contract/payroll function that the role is responsible for.

2. The ability to work pro-actively and positively within a team providing HR resource support and advice to all services across PCC 3. A flexible approach, to adopt new working practices and procedures as they are introduced. 4. A high level of both verbal and written communication skills that enable you to confidently work with people at all levels, with the ability to question to ensure clarity of understanding 5. Be able to understand, respect and maintain confidentiality of information. 6. Have proven customer service skills with the ability to influence others in this skill 7. The ability to work under pressure of deadlines, 'Self Manage' workload and use own initiative to solve routine issues. 8. Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy 9. Oracle data input experience and a knowledge of the EBS Oracle system. 10. Computer literacy with good familiarity of word and the ability to use a variety of computer applications. 11. The ability to interpret data and translate into meaningful reports. 12. Possess excellent listening skills to understand customer requirements. 13. Be able to work flexibly to meet the requirements of the team and wider service.
