THE FLYING BULL ACADEMY, PORTSMOUTH

Located in the heart of Portsmouth, The Flying Bull Academy is proud of its caring ethos; encouraging and supporting children to achieve their full potential.  The Academy is a positive and active place to work and we are looking to appoint a Class Teacher (Maternity Cover).  We believe that success here is built on strong relationships between everyone involved in the Academy.

We are seeking a highly motivated and positive class teacher on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave from the start of the Summer Term 2016 - 24th April 2016.  If you have demonstrated good to outstanding classroom practice, we would like to hear from you and welcome applications from experienced teachers and NQTs.

We can offer a hard working, fun and supportive team with a range of skills across the curriculum, willing to offer support and expertise to develop your own practice.  We are a reflective academy who continually strives to innovate and improve practice and a commitment to quality professional development.  The Flying Bull Academy is fully refurbished, very well resourced and pupils are extremely proud of their academy and the community in which they live.

The successful candidate will be a good or better, confident classroom practitioner with high expectations of children's achievement and behaviour.  You will be committed to improving standards and ensuring all learners are achieving their very best and have the skills to create a stimulating and purposeful learning environment.  You will have a positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to work as part of a team; and be energetic, enthusiastic and willing to contribute to the wider aspects of academy life and be committed to working in partnership with parents/carers, governors and the local community.

In return, you will be part of the University of Chichester Academy Trust, bringing you added benefits and opportunities. You will find that each of our academies has a unique identity, but a shared belief in creating a positive and enriching environment, where all staff feel valued.

Visits to the Academy are strongly encouraged and welcomed; please ring the academy office to arrange an appointment. You can apply for this vacancy by downloading the University of Chichester Academy Trust application form and supporting documents and sending it to the academy by e-mail or post.

Closing date: 30th January 2017

Interview W/B: 7th February 2017

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
