The opportunity has arisen to join the Systems team within the University’s Finance Department in the post of Systems Officer (two year fixed term).  The role has arisen due to significant IT projects currently underway at the University, which has increased the need for IT support within the Finance department.

The role holder will provide technical and user support for staff within the Finance department and throughout the University. The role holder will support a number of systems including the main integrated finance system (“e5”), related reporting services, the University’s online payments platform. The role holder will be involved in project work and will liaise with colleagues in our IT department.

The successful candidate will have excellent IT skills, have extensive IT project experience and enjoy working as part of a team. Good customer service ethos and skills are required within the role. Previous experience of with (i) finance systems and (ii) report writing, including SQL, is essential.

We are particularly interested in applicants with good experience in working with integrated finance systems. An accounting qualification (or relevant experience) is preferred but not essential
