Three year contract

The Property and Housing Directorate of Portsmouth City Council manages and maintains a multi-million pound property portfolio. The authority has a broad and varied portfolio of property assets including Port Solent (a leisure, retail and residential marina complex), industrial, retail, and office property, local authority housing and the commercial ferry port as well as more specialist properties like hotels, supermarkets, golf courses, leisure properties and an agricultural portfolio.

The total asset value is in the region of £1 billion and the commercial assets generate a net income of £7.5 million per annum.

We are looking for an individual who can show a good combination of technical knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for the role with a desire to develop the skills of the people in your charge. You need to be an MRICS with experience in commercial property management. You will lead a mixed team of trainee, graduate and other property professionals who manage our commercial properties.

You need to have a valid driving licence as you will frequently travel around our area (we have pool vehicles available if needed)
