Manufacturing Test Technicians are needed for a large engineering company based in Portsmouth. This role is on a shift pattern, with a 20% uplift for early and late working, and 33% uplift on night working.

The Role

• Test of electronic and RF sub-systems . Quality control of test results and documentation. Initial fault diagnosis and raising of non-conformance reports.
• Flexible approach to working methods and patterns. Overtime and shift working will be required including nightshifts.
• Pro-active role in maintaining a safe working environment and a clear commitment to health and safety in the workplace
• Willingness to accept change and actively support continuous improvement, Wiling to develop skills as required to support production (assembly, Test, Inspection and Support) and use these flexibly.

Skills

Minimum HNC or equivalent qualification or experience in electronics discipline plus relevant working knowledge
Working knowledge of Vector Network Analysers, oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers
The candidate should have test knowledge in the range 1.5GHz to 32 GHz. The company is testing at 32 GHz.
Knowledge in RF, Microwave and Digital test techniques of space products in a clean room environment.
Fault diagnosis skills to component level.
Familiar with ATE and manual test systems.
Electronics assembly or inspection expertise
