PTS Support Engineer
£22 - £25 Per Hour

The Role
To prepare, validate, deploy and support all items if E3K block equipment and provide first line maintenance to minimise down-time of equipments across all projects located in Portsmouth, Toulouse, Backnang and Cannes.
Responsibilities
Provision of detailed technical input for the development of current and future E3K block equipments.
Provide technical input and attend design reviews with equipment suppliers, both internal and external.
Monitor action items or waivers generated during procurement and AIT acceptance of a PTS (internal or external supplier); provide status report to the PTL.
Lead test & validation activities during an early start phase of new programmes and prepare the relevant documentation (performance, testing, safety, CE marking, EMC...)
To set up the administration of servers and network PC's to meet project requirements.
To be accountable for detailing the requirement for Clean Room LAN/TSO/VPN infrastructure and liaison through to acceptance.
To further develop AIT E3K acceptance, validation and calibration processes
First line equipment maintenance and repair; acting as the interface between operators and suppliers (internal & external)
Maintain, control and allocate specific spares in conjunction with Logistics Group.
Join an AIT shift team when required to support critical test phases, including Spacecraft level tests
Assist the EGSE Hardware Manager in developing the AIT strategy for support of all E3K block equipments.
Develop the training modules and train all Electrical AIT staff to a level where they are competent to carry out Level 1 and 2 E3K equipment repairs.
Control of periodic COT's equipment, calibration and planned maintenance.
Skills
Windows administrator, server and PC network abilities.
In depth understanding of software programs, admin rights, windows operating procedures, servers, networks
RF test procedures
Previous experience of maintaining complex multi faceted systems would be advantageous.
Able to work offsite for undefined periods at short notice. Work OT and shift if required
Willing to take responsibility for all AIT E3K equipment assets.
There may be a requirement to travel to Toulouse from time to time.
