A Senior Management Information Systems (MIS) Manager is required by this highly corporate employer with prestigious offices in Southampton. The primary objective of the successful applicant will be to head a newly created Management Information Systems department, which will manage the data and reporting needs of the wider business, focusing on standardisation and automation of procedures and reports wherever possible, identification and acquisition of new software solutions.

The department will provide individual managers with the information and tools they need to improve their business processes, and the solutions you provide will be at the heart of driving the business forward.

Specific Duties will include:

Introduction and ongoing management of a standard set of Business Reports. Transition management.

Audit of all business departments and infrastructure processes to identify areas that reporting provision could add value

Formalisation and implementation of an MIS implementation strategy within agreed timescales

Building excellent relationships with other departments including IT Systems, in order to efficiently implement new methods of making data accessible , and to develop data archiving strategies.

Role Requirements...

In order to apply for this role, candidates should hold a degree preferably in Business, Management, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent numerate discipline).
Experience of producing, analysing and interpreting management information is an essential requirement, as are first class people management and communication skills gained at a senior level within a corporate business.

A working knowledge of SQL, Business Objectives and other data interrogation tools is required, as is a persuasive, positive nature. The successful candidate will be a driver of change - creative and innovative in their approach to overcoming issues.
