This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our new Cabaret Performance degree. Becoming part of our larger University of Chichester Conservatoire supporting one of the University''s undergraduate degree routes. The programmes adopt a student centric approach to learning and teaching and successful candidates will have experience of delivering high quality, interactive teaching or training activities.


This role will support the department in a range of teaching methods on practical cabaret Piano / Keyboard skills. In order to support the students, it is vital that you come from a non-traditional route with a wealth of experience in cabaret musical direction and an excellent overview of cabaret repertoire, capable of teaching students of all abilities and aptitudes.


Assisting the Programme Coordinator your role will bear a specific responsibility for the coordination and delivery of Piano and Keyboard skills within the new joint degree modules in Cabaret Performance. You will also need to possess a comprehensive knowledge and experience of the above modules and its assessment process, from a practical perspective of teaching and assessing.


Candidates should ideally have an appropriate teaching /or equivalent professional qualifications and experience, with extensive recent relevant teaching / practical experience. It is anticipated that all staff will be engaged with the development of best practice in performance and its assessment, as well as in current developments in pedagogy.


This is a fixed term contract for up to 75 hours per academic year
