Harvey John are working with a globally recognisable insurance firm in their search for a qualified Lloyd's Reporting Accountant.

You'll be part of an experienced and growing team, based in the heart of London's financial district. This role has an emphasis on the London operations of the organisation and would suit an enthusiastic and experienced professional, who takes pride in a high quality of output and can add value to the team.

Overview of the role

  • Preparation and analysis of Annual & Quarterly Lloyd's and Regulatory Reporting for internal Syndicate (to include but not limited to: QMA, GQD, US & Canadian Reporting, QF1, Solvency II).
  • Production and finalisation of year end Statutory Accounts for various entities including liaison with various departments.
  • Provide lead support to internal & external audit including provision of information on processes and procedures, and address complex technical queries as they arise.
  • Involvement in IT & Finance Transformation projects to include development of the new Reinsurance system, General Ledger and evolving Data Warehouse reporting to support the Lloyd's and Board Reporting.
  • Collaboration and communication across the various Finance functions and wider departments to assist in the enhancement of reporting processes.
  • Production of quarterly Board Reporting for internal Syndicate and provide analytical review of quarterly performance to Senior Management
  • Build out process documentation of Lloyd's Reporting for the Syndicate.
  • Assist in the clean-up of system data for the Syndicate and provide ongoing support to ensure issues do not re-occur.
  • Ad hoc projects as required.

Candidate Skills & Attributes

  • Fully qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Experience of SAP general ledger or equivalent ledger system
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Lloyd's software & reporting would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to learn quickly
  • A self-starter, you'll be able to demonstrate initiative and organisation in improving processes
