What impact will you be making?

As a motivated and career-driven VAT specialist, the role offers you the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge with a selection of UK and cross-border VAT work, merger and acquisition projects, and tax systems projects.

The primary focus will see you take responsibility for UK and European VAT compliance reviewing, whilst working with the VAT Controller to drive improvements for VAT accounting processes and systems. Day to day tasks include:

• Supervising a small team of tax compliance colleagues
• Maintaining and clearing VAT general ledgers ensuring integrity and accuracy of those accounts for management/tax authority.
• Responsible for the monthly group tax management reporting reconciliations for VAT GLs across EMEA for group finance colleagues.
• Reconciling VAt and statistical returns to each other and the balance sheet.
• Produce accurate periodic UK VAT group and EMEA VAT registration returns and declarations.
• Create and post VAT journals to the balance sheet and approve VAT postings by group finance.
