Institute of Education, Social and Life Sciences

We are currently seeking a Department Administrator to join the Psychology, Criminology and Humanistic Counselling team at the Institute of Education, Social and Life Sciences. This is a permanent post.

Based at the Chichester campus you will provide efficient, effective and professional administrative support to the staff, students and other stakeholders in the Department, and playing an important part in our digital content strategy whilst working collaboratively with the Department Administration Manager to enhance administrative processes and enhance the staff and student experience.

You will have a good general education to A level or equivalent, with a high standard of literacy and numeracy. You will demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills, including a professional telephone manner and the ability to build relationships, respect confidentiality, negotiate and influence others. Minute-taking skills and attention to detail are key attributes for this role.

Previous administrative experience is crucial as is the ability to undertake high volume tasks and work to tight deadlines. You will be approachable, adaptable and conscientious with a strong customer service focus.

The successful candidate will be pro-active, enthusiastic and enjoy working as a member of a small team.
