This is an exciting opportunity to study alongside work by undertaking a Level 4 Post-Production Technical Operator apprenticeship whilst providing technical support to students studying subjects within the Creative Industries department.

The training will be delivered over a period of approximately 12 months in 3 teaching blocks during September 2022 (lasting 13 days), February 2023 (lasting 13 days) and June 2023 (lasting 14 days), developing your knowledge, skills and behaviours as a Post-Production Technical Operator. Outside of these teaching blocks you will receive mentoring, undertake self-study and attend expos. You will also embed your learning by supporting students studying at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, maintaining post-production related facilities and equipment and demonstrating the use of equipment to staff and students.

The post holder will work as part of the technical team and provide support for commercial activities where necessary and flexibility in supporting our loans counter and IT related specialist spaces in general.

You will need to be willing to undertake functional skills or hold GCSE English and Maths Grade C / 4 or above and demonstrate the self-motivation to pursue a career in post-production. Good communication skills are essential for this role as is a proactive approach.

This role is Fixed-term and full time for the duration of the apprenticeship (approximately 1 year in the first instance).
