FTSE 100 financial services client has approached CMA to source a Financial Analyst to work, in Fareham, as part of a team in producing a reliable and accurate month end close, forecast and budget. The key focus of this role will be in providing valuable business insight into the key cost drivers of the BC&IT function in order to provide opportunity to restructure the cost base; in addition the role will provide the necessary analysis for reporting our BoF (Building the Future) savings.
This role will work with the senior members of staff across finance and the business to ensure the cost base is understood and key metric drivers explained. In addition BoF savings will be monitored to assess their impact on the monthly results and ensure quoted savings are being recognised. The jobholder will also liaise with key business/finance contacts to provide insight on key expense items, identify opportunities to optimise the cost base and answer ad hoc queries as they arise.
Ideally candidates will be: Big 4 qualified, with experience of month end close procedures, forecasting and budgeting; Highly numerate with excellent analytical skills; Ability to prioritise work and deliver multiple tasks in a dynamic, deadline driven environment; Experience of working to tight deadlines; A high degree of computer literacy (preferably SAP/TM1experience) and ideally an advanced knowledge of Excel.
