Two Saints is a specialist homeless support provider delivering services to improve the lives of those who are homeless helping people to get their lives back on track.

Two Saints has been appointed by Portsmouth City Council to help homeless young people by providing them with opportunities to regain confidence and reach their full potential.

A new scheme recently launched by Two Saints in Portsmouth is the Supported Lodgings Service.

It needs people to be hosts to help young people by allowing them the use of a spare room.

The Role:

Hosts provide a safe and secure environment within their home to provide support to help young people grow in confidence and reach their potential helping them to independent living. The young people Two Saints work with in Supported Lodgings are from different backgrounds and have varying support needs, such as learning essential life skills including doing laundry, cooking and budgeting.

As a host you will provide 7 hours a week of support to the young person to work on improving such skills, as well as working with Two Saints to ensure the young person is in a safe environment.

Two Saints is currently looking for hosts to help reach more homeless young people get their lives back on track.

It doesn't matter how much experience you have, or whether you rent or are a homeowner, we welcome and accept hosts from all walks of life.

If you can spare a room, time and provide support to a young person in a patient, safe and warm environment then we would like to hear from you.

Package/Benefits:

Each host will receive support from a trained allocated support worker as well as access to out of hours support. You will receive a rental payment for your room and an additional payment for the support you give as well as training, ongoing advice and support.


Salary: £59 per week support allowance plus rent payment of £63-£70 (approx depending on area)
