They manufacture high value/low volume products for high end industries. This is a Permanent position with a long established, local employer.

The role is mostly Mechanical with some Electrical work so this would either suit an experienced Mechanical Assembler/Technician or someone with a background in Electro-Mechanical assembly.

You will be working from their site in Portsmouth where your salary would be around £22'000 per annum plus a contributory pension scheme, an excellent working environment, progression opportunities, share options, 25 days' holiday, working in a friendly team for a great company.

Your basic hours would be 37 hours but they would prefer someone who is flexibility to work extra hours occasionally if required.

Your main role will be to assemble mechanical products for the medical/pharmaceutical industry. You will need to have a solid background in Assembly, ideally within a manufacturing environment with a high regard to quality and working to strict standards, the product they produce are a mixture of mechanical and electrical so although you will receive training, this would best suit someone with a strong attention to detail and an aptitude to learn quickly.

Experience in a low volume manufacturing environment would be best suited to this role. You will of course need to be computer literate and able to use computer programs able to enter data correctly

An Apprenticeship or HNC would be preferred but this may be negotiable depending on experience. You must be happy to work on your own initiative, with a good work ethic and comfortable working in a small engineering team, with good written and verbal communication
