We are looking for an experienced PC / IT hardware Purchasing Product Manager!

Due to our ongoing growth and success, we are now looking for another Product Manager to work within our purchasing team.  For this role, you need to have experience of working in a purchasing product management role within the IT hardware, distribution, reseller, PC manufacturing business.

About the role:

Product Managers are key to ensure the flow of our products is maintained, so we can keep delivering for all of our amazing customers.  The Product Manager will be responsible for the Product Lifecycle, including; analysing market trends, prices and stock availability. 

Some of the things you will be doing:

• Identifying products to add to our portfolio.
• Creating web specifications.
• Setting web sell prices.
• Carrying out competitor analysis, to see how we fair against our competition.
• Maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, vendors
• Negotiating cost prices.
• Managing run rates and stock levels.
• Maintaining due dates.
• Developing strong working relationships with other departments to help drive sales.
• Making product recommendations to internal and external customers.

What we need from you:

In summary, as the successful candidate, you should have a good knowledge of PC hardware and be able to identify key product features that would be of interest to specific target groups of customers.  In addition to this, you will need:

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role within the IT and tech industry
• To know your stuff when it comes to server chassis 
• Good commercial acumen, with knowledge and confidence of the industry to make decisions on the products we source, sell and develop
• Strong understanding and experience of supply chain management
• To be highly analytical, being able to spot trends, be quick to react to market changes
• Top notch communication skills and relationship management skills
• A high level of attention to detail
• To be a real team player
• To be self-motivated and driven to succeed
• Experience with HTML
• The ability to work under pressure
• The ability to delivery good customer service
• To ideally be degree level education or hold a qualification in purchasing and/or supply chain management (i.e CIPS)
