We are currently seeking to recruit a part time Research Support Librarian to cover a period of maternity leave for up to one year within the Research Department.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Research Office and University’s research strategy, working closely with the University Librarian and the Library Team. You will manage the institutional repository and promote Open Access across the university community.
Applicants will need to have working knowledge of the research lifecycle and be aware of current developments in open access publishing, and research support in the higher education sector. Applicants who do not hold a library qualification but have relevant experience may be considered.
This role cold be undertaken in conjunction with the Digital Services Librarian also available as a maternity cover.
Both the maternity roles could also be excellent secondment opportunities for University employees wanting to develop their understanding and knowledge of Open Access.
