Looking for practical hands on role where you get to work on exciting projects?

To help with the high level of work in our production operations, we are now looking for Production Operatives to join our team.   In fact, we’re so busy we are looking for 2 operatives to join the team!

Joining as a production operative is a great way to learn our business and it’s a great place to start your career with us!

A bit about the roles:

Our Production Operatives are an important part of the Novatech team.  Working to detailed build specifications, you will be involved in the build and test processes for our PCs, laptops and servers as well as get involved with picking parts and packing goods.  We have some pretty cool builds, and you will be able to get the chance to work on some really unique systems!

What we are looking for:

We are looking for hard working and enthusiastic people to join our team.  Top notch communication skills are important to build great working relationships.  You also need to have great attention to detail, be methodical and have good dexterity.  Following processes and procedures carefully is also key, to get builds perfect for our customers.

You will need to be proactive in your approach to work – getting your work completed efficiently whilst constantly looking for things you can be doing to support the department.  If you like a bit of problem solving, that’s great!  We value everyone’s input to resolving any issues within the build process as well as finding ways to constantly improve what we do.

There may be times when you have repetitive work – so the ability to be highly self-motivated and stay focussed on every task is key.

Having experience of working within a production setting would be an advantage, as well as having an interest and understanding of IT/PC tech.    However, enthusiasm and having a passion to get stuck in and deliver to the best of your ability each day is more important, as full training for the role will be provided.

It’s important to highlight that due to the nature of the role, there will be lots of standing tasks, some lifting and walking, so candidates need to be comfortable with this.

What working here means for you:

There are lots of benefits when working for us! Not only do you get to work with really cool people, but you get a real chance to be yourself. We listen to music while we work and have a more relaxed production environment then most manufacturing companies. We believe when you feel relaxed, you enjoy your work more and have more pride in what you do. We are passionate about your wellbeing and organise team events such as gin tasting, escape rooms and quiz nights, as well as events to raise money for charity.

This role is based from our Head Office. We have good transport links to our site in Portchester, with free staff parking and a lockable bike shed if you cycle in.

Plus there is:

  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (with the chance to buy additional days)
  • Health plan scheme
  • Cycle to work
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Staff discounts
  • Social and wellbeing events
  • A great breakout room with gaming PC, a TV and a pool table
  • Kitchen and shower facilities

About us:

We've been in the IT tech business for over 35 years and we love what we do! Gaming and retail are important to our business, but what you may not know is that our main area of work is with some of the largest and most respected businesses in a range of industries to supply their tech. Whether it’s creating life-saving training simulators, building complex servers, or supporting businesses with their onboarding/offboarding of remote staff through our Direct 2 Desk service, there’s no end to the amount of fascinating and cutting-edge projects that we are involved in. Pretty cool, right?
