Portsmouth Cycle Forum are asking for help, they run a weekly repair shop at the Stacey Centre, in Walsall Road, Copnor, to fix up old bikes which are then sold for a small amount to cover costs of parts but all the mechanics are volunteers.

Jayne Rodgers, from the Portsmouth Cycle Forum, said: “We are in need of a little help at the moment as it’s summer and we are really busy. We need to get bikes ready for people to take away and we need to break some for scrap. It’s a great way to improve your ability and pick up skills, hints and tips for working on your own bike. So, if you have a free day on Saturdays, or even just a few hours on a Saturday, please do come and give us a hand. We supply tea, coffee, biscuits, cake and even lunch if you stay a few hours. It doesn’t matter if you don’t feel confident repairing bikes, we have plenty of other jobs that need doing.”
