Sunsail are well renowned for offering some of the world’s best sailing holidays. They specialise in sailing holidays and yacht charters in the Mediterranean. Their Portsmouth branch is set to close, leaving a vast number of employees left without jobs. The company hasn’t confirmed the cuts but it is expected that 100 jobs are at risk as a result of the company relocation up to near London.
Staff are in individual talks with company officials, and some employees have been offered a trial run of the new London offices to test out whether the location is right for them, before making the big steps to relocate themselves. For those not wanting to commute or relocate, the company will be holding interviews for some of the roles, with the view to recruit people from the local area. Sunsail UK will be joining together with other partners from the Specialist Holiday Group, who are part of TUI Travel PLC.
Sunsail have announced that all their UK activities involving schools and across the board with events need not worry about the move and have guaranteed they will not be affected.
